I completed my secondary education in Western Australia where I received a scholarship in Rugby Union.

After completing my WACE examination in Australia, I returned to the United Kingdom to further my education. In 2015, I gained a qualification in Sports Coaching and Development.

During this time I attended the Exeter Chiefs Rugby Academy and also became part of the Taunton Titans 1st 15 national 2 rugby team. I have to date played more than 100 games for Taunton Titans.

I have a background of working with children with SEN both in a sporting and academic environment. I have obtained coaching and refereeing accreditation with the IRB along with various coaching in both primary and secondary schools relating to Athletics, Basketball, Cricket and Football.

I have successfully completed my paediatric first aid along with various other sports and coaching certificates as well as recently completing the Boxercise instructors’ course and children’s top up course.

In Addition to being a lead coach I am also the Safeguarding officer at L & F Multi Sports.

Whilst in Secondary Education, I played for the Plymouth Argyle Development Squad and began coaching at a primary school level.

On completing my education, I joined the British Army where I played football for both my Corps and my Regiment and won multiple leagues and cups both at a national and international level.

Since leaving the Army, I have obtained a Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education in Sport, Fitness and Management and have also obtained a National Certificate in Sport Development, Coaching and Fitness in addition to Sports Leader and Football Coaching qualifications.

I have significant experience of working with children with SEN and, in particular, in providing sport and fitness in an inclusive way.

I have also completed a level 2 certificate in understanding children and young people's mental health as well as recently completing the Boxercise instructors’ course and children’s top up course.

As a child I enjoyed all sports but in particular football, I played for Dawlish United club all through my school years. I played rugby for a while with Teignmouth rugby club and then, at high school, I became very interested in basketball.

After leaving school I wanted to continue playing and was lucky enough to join the Basketball Academy at Exeter college for 3 years whilst also achieving my Level 3 sport and exercise National Diploma. This gave me a great foundation in the sport.

I took a year out of education to work and earn some money before going to Solent university to do a Sport and Physical education degree. Whilst there I played for the very successful Solent University Basketball team, learning valuable skills and coaching techniques. As well as playing, in my 3rd year I coached the 2nd team. I also achieved several coaching awards including a level 2 in Basketball.

In my final year at university, I was offered a coaching Scholarship and to complete my masters. This was just as Covid struck so I moved back to Exeter and managed remotely to achieve a Masters Certificate in School Sport Coaching.

I now play for the Exeter Spartans basketball team in the National league.

I have always wanted to coach and teach sport; my degree and experience mean I have the knowledge and know how to do this. Through L&F Multi sports I am proud to be able to pass this passion and knowledge on to the next generation, and inspire lifelong sport participation as well as having a lot of fun along the way.

Through further education, I gained my Level 2 BTEC Sport (exercise and fitness) qualification.

During this time, I also received my qualifications in Level 2 and 3 BTEC Children's care, learning and development.

I have a blue belt in Taekwondo, which I gained at age 14 then continued my interest for further 6 years in mixed martial arts. Stopping due to health reasons helped spark my interest in other sports.

I am a very avid cycler and gained my Level 1 Ride Leadership Award through British Cycling, meaning I can lead bike rides for groups of up to 8 people.

I have gained a wealth of experience working in a primary school setting as a TA/HLTA for just over 10 years, teaching SEN students, carrying out PE lessons and hosting a wide range of after school sports clubs.

I have also completed my Paediatric First aid training.

Over the years I have participated in many sports but my most memorable are athletics at a county level, competitive swimming and field hockey.

My favourite sport is field hockey which I currently play for East Devon Hockey Club and when at university played for Cardiff Metropolitan 2nd team as well as playing for the local club.

Sport has always been a huge part of my life and is why I have chosen to pursue a career where I can share my passion for it to as many people as possible, with the hope they will enjoy it as much as I do.

I have based many of my big life decisions around my love for sport and have recently finished my university degree in sports management, specialising in events management.

I have been coaching and helping out with sports events and competitions since I was 15, working for many different companies and schools to provide enjoyable and educational experiences for anyone participating.

I joined the L&F team at the end of summer 2022. I have already improved my coaching ability in the short time I have been working for L&F through coaching and supervising clubs as well as running a lunchtime clubs.

I study physics at Lancaster University, where I have enjoyed representing the university in Rugby Union for the past two years.

Prior to this, I played rugby at a club level for DHSOB in Plymouth for four years, and represented my school in several cup tournaments.

I have also enjoyed maintaining my interest in other sports, playing Tennis at Hill Lane Tennis club for two years, and enjoying general athletics and long distance running.

I joined the L&F team in the summer of 2020, and have since developed many sports leadership skills, helping to coach and supervise in the last summer camp as well as helping to teach P.E. as part of a secondary education curriculum.
